It is the dream of every candidate to crack UPSC, but not everyone gets success in it. In such a situation, the story of Pratibha Verma can give inspiration to every such aspirant who takes stress after failing in UPSC. The same thing happened with Pratibha Verma and due to constant stress, she also fell ill at one point of time. But she did not give up and continued her efforts.

IAS Pratibha Verma's story is a perfect example of overcoming obstacles in life. Belonging to the small town of Sultanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, she managed to secure All India third rank in the UPSC exam 2019. Though it looks easy, it was a long and troublesome journey for Pratibha who often fell ill during her preparation due to stress and worries about the exam result. Pratibha first became an engineer, then an IRS officer and later an IAS.

Pratibha Verma, who hails from Uttar Pradesh Sultanpur, wanted to become an IAS officer since childhood. She was also smart in studies since childhood. Therefore, after her schooling, she moved to Delhi for graduation. Here Pratibha Verma also got admission in IIT Delhi. But she had something else in mind. After studying from IIT, she also got a job with a hefty package.

The biggest obstacle for her was that she was in a Hindi medium but that did not dim her light. After completing class 10 from the UP board and class 12 from the CBSE board, she moved to Delhi to complete her B.Tech from IIT Delhi.

Simultaneously, Pratibha Verma started preparing for UPSC to fulfill her dream. Pratibha knew very well that she would have to struggle a long time to prepare for it. She was completely ready for this. Pratibha started preparing for UPSC but failed in her very first attempt. After this she also gave second attempt, but in this too she was unsuccessful.

The effect of the second failure on Pratibha Verma was very deep. She took stress after failing and at one point of time she was also surrounded by diseases. In the year 2018, Pratibha Verma was diagnosed with dengue while in 2019 she had typhoid. Well, she ignored these ailments and continued her preparations. Pratibha gave UPSC 2019 exam and got selected in this attempt.

Not only was Pratibha Verma selected in this exam, but she also got IAS. Pratibha believes, you need a good strategy for UPSC, if your strategy is right then success will also come easily. Also it is very important to stay mentally strong for UPSC. Often the candidates are not able to accept the failure, which causes them trouble.

Pratibha Verma secured the 489th rank and was selected for IRS but her ultimate dream was to become an IAS.

Even though she had become an IRS officer, her aim was IAS. She kept preparing for it and in her third attempt in 2019, she managed to become an IAS officer by securing the third rank in the UPSC exam.
