Suraj had dreamed of becoming an IPS, but the financial condition of the family was not so good. He wanted to study further and give UPSC exam, after which he started his graduation from a college as a private student. And to meet the expenses, along with his friend Ashwini started a coaching institute to teach English in a rented room. Let us tell you that Suraj lived in a joint family. In which the father was the sole earner. In such a situation, Suraj wanted to contribute to the household income.

After studying till the fifth standard in the village, he moved with his parents to Jajmau, Kanpur, where he enrolled in Hindi Medium School. Since childhood, Suraj was a promising student. Along with studies, he was always ahead in sports, creative writing and writing poetry.
It was during his schooling that he perfected his writing skills. In the year 2000, he was honored by the then President by the National Balshree Award for Creative Writing. In the year 2001, after getting 81% marks in class XII, Suraj Singh Started started running an English speaking coaching institute because his family's financial condition was little weak. However, this coaching institute got closed within a few days. After which Suraj Singh tried his hand in many other jobs and finally joined a BPO in Noida.
After performing well in a private job, Suraj Singh left the job of BPO to fulfill his dream of becoming an IPS, after which he joined coaching in Delhi. While preparing, Suraj Singh first cracked Bank PO exam, then SSC CGL and later became IPS. His journey from a call center to an IPS is very special for the youth.
