Now, we are with the journey of Sanjita Mohapatra IAS Officer. Sanjita Mohapatra IAS Officer hails from Rourkela, Odisha. She got her early education from the school in Rourkela. After this she has done B.Tech degree from Mechanical Engineering. Sanjita had dreamed of becoming an IAS since childhood, so she gave UPSC exam thrice only after graduation. Due to lack of preparation for UPSC exam, Sanjita could not even clear the prelims exam in all three attempts. After this failure, she joined a government job. However, she continued to prepare for the UPSC exam. She again started preparing for the exam and this time first tried to understand the exam pattern.
The long-cherished dream of becoming a Collector will soon become a reality for 30-year-old Sanjita Mohapatra of Chhend Colony who broke into the top 10 of the All India Rank of 10 in the Civil Services examinations, 2019 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). She bagged the 10th rank. A mechanical engineer and former assistant manager at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), Sanjita now stays at Mumbai with her husband Biswaranjan Mundari, a manager with the RBI.

Sanjita used the internet a lot to prepare for the UPSC exam. Due to not being able to strike a balance between job and studies, she left her job so that she could concentrate all on her studies only. Then fate took a new turn in her life. Sanjita got married while preparing for UPSC exam. After marriage, her life changed a lot, but Sanjita did not let it affect her studies.
After so much hard work, she gave the fourth attempt of the examination but she did not get success this time also. However, this time she did better than the previous attempts. Sanjita had failed to clear the exam but she did clear the prelims.

Percentage
Sanjita was now only a few steps away from success. She worked day and night to clear the UPSC exam. Then in the year 2019, she gave her fifth attempt and this time not only passed the exam but also secured 10th rank. Sanjita focused most of the NCERT books for the exam. Apart from this, she used to read newspapers and news magazines regularly. She also did coaching for a few days for her optional subject Sociology, but for the rest of the preparation she did self-study and along with it took recourse to mock tests and test series. In this journey, her family members also gave her full support.
